The last thing I was expecting on a research vessel would be the amount of food I would eat. I was semi prepared for the motion sickness but even that took me for a spin. I’m not sure how many people are used to eating 3 meals a day but for me it’s an adjustment. I typically eat breakfast at 11 and something for dinner around 8-9pm. On the boat we have Breakfast at 5:30, lunch at 11:30 and dinner at 5:30. On top of 3 meals there is an abundance of snacks, fruit, and even candy. They have a snack and candy cabinets with any type thing you can think of. Even things you didn’t know exist like Old Bay goldfish, being a Maryland native, I’ve never understood the obsession. There is also an ice cream freezer that’s like a mini ice cream truck, filled with anything you can think of even the Sponge Bob ice cream pops.

All things aside it’s safe to say that I will never be hungry on this trip!

All compliment to Chef Jeff!❤️
