As the second day comes to an end, I’ve come to the conclusion that sleeping quarters on the ship are extremely small, but SUPER comfortable! When we arrived, all the beds were equipped with a mattress cover, fresh linen, and a comforter. The features of each bunk include a tiny shelf that can be used for placing your glasses or other small items, and a 180 privacy curtain. The curtain seems like it wouldn’t do much, but it works GREAT! If another person were to come in and turn on the lights you wouldn’t be disturbed in the slightest (unless they’re noisy). There were also two dressers in the room that had enough space for one to fit their whole duffel bag inside! This was a plus because although there were clothing hangers, I found it easier to place my duffel inside and just sift through it. Overall, the rooms here on the R/V Thompson are extremely up to par for the age of this vessel. I just wish the ceilings were a bit higher because I hit my head every time I sit up, causing me to constantly slouch or lay down.
