This is being written on our final day of the Sikuliaq, we are docked in Newport an its a clear day out with some clouds in the distance. We did a lot during this 10 day trips. We attempted to do gravity cores in the Santa Barbara Basin, that failed an the gravity core was lost, We did sediment grabs in the Santa Barbara Basin an off the Oregon Coast, along the way we did many CDT’s capturing water from the seafloor all along the way. The nights when there were stars were beautiful as were the sunsets. The crew were wonderful and blunt people but over all made us feel welcomed. This trip was an experience to be remembered an has helped me narrow my field of focus for my education down an helped me get ideas for graduate school. This program is a blessing.
