Hey everyone!
It’s RaeNeice again with your Day 2 takeover of our unforgettable expedition! Our second day aboard was pretty eventful. We kicked things off at 9 a.m. with a FortiGate lab. For those who aren’t familiar, FortiGate is a firewall solution from Fortinet, a company specializing in cybersecurity solutions. In the lab, we configured our FortiGate setup, which included the switch, firewall, and network. After that, we used Proxmox, a virtual environment, to analyze oceanographic data.
Once our research was wrapped up, we took some time to explore the ship. We checked out the gym and found a cool photo from the R/V Sikuliaq’s maiden voyage. To top off the day, we enjoyed a stunning sunset at sea. It was a nice way to end a busy day!
