Hey everyone!
It’s RaeNeice, your captain for the Day 1 takeover of our epic expedition! Let me tell you, our adventure really kicked off a few days ago in sunny Waikiki. We gathered for a delightful dinner at ShoreFyre Fresh Grill, and after a scrumptious meal, we strolled through the vibrant streets of Waikiki, made some awesome new friends, and indulged in dessert on our way back to the hotel.
The next day was all about exploration and bonding, getting to know each other’s quirks and charms. That night, we hopped aboard the stunning R/V Sikuliaq, where we got a sneak peek of our ship and shared a meal with the fantastic crew. Talk about an exciting start!
On our first official day on the ship, we took a moment to settle in and soak in the surroundings. We kicked off the morning with a delicious breakfast (thank you, crew!), followed by a rehearsal of the safety drills we learned the night before. We saved our energy because we knew the real fun was just around the corner!
