- Lay down
- Eat a lot of starchy foods while laying down if that makes you comfortable
- Drink lots of water
- Get lots of fresh air
- Make sure you have seasickness pills
- Have people around you that care
- Don’t worry it’ll soon all be over
This is the fourth day at sea but my first official day of being up and able to function. My first three days I was seasick and it was the worst my head and my stomach were killing me; I was wishing for death. Once the boat had slowed down and the waters were calmer I was moving and I felt great. This post is mainly going to be about how I survived seasickness and what may also help you. First I slept most of day and I hardly wanted to eat anything but the support system that was around me pushed me to eat at least saltine crackers. Mainly I loved drinking water it was my best friend. Whenever I did eat I would have to do it laying down or I would feel nauseous. All of the foods I did consume it was fatty or starchy. My second day I had chewable seasickness pills and only made me drowsy and sleepy but I felt a little better once I took them. On the last day of me being seasick I finally had the energy to get my boots on and go outside which was amazing the fresh sea air was perfect for my body and I loved it. Now any time I’m feeling a little nauseous I go right outside and get some fresh air that’s the best medicine. After awhile I would say that I’m kinda getting used to the motion so I guess my body is getting acclimated to sea life and I know that me getting sick will soon be over.
